The Tommy Tucker in Fulham, formerly The Pelican, was a great project to be involved with. The owners gave us a general interior-design brief then allowed us to use our artistic licence to achieve the eclectic industrial look they had visualized.
We used reclaimed roof boards from the old locomotive sheds at Derby to create the wall cladding and doors throughout the basement area and stairwell. The bar was Gethyn’s first foray into sheet metalwork and resembles some sort of battleship in the middle of West London, a real centrepiece for a ‘local boozer’.
We also designed and made all of the furniture, built-in seating, kitchen pass and entrance area, all from reclaimed and salvaged materials. Head to www.thetommytucker.com or visit SW62DR to check out the best menu and interior in West London.
